Unreliable, insufficient and costly power generation and distribution across the African continent has arguably been the greatest obstacle to higher and more inclusive growth and socio-economic development of the region.
Infrastructure stock levels, across all sectors, have impeded rather than facilitated growth and development. However, this is changing rapidly, as, in order for Sub-Saharan Africa to develop and industrialize in a viable manner, a revolution in the power/energy and all other infrastructure sectors is inevitable.
