Green and Renewable Energies are becoming a sustainable and affordable option for the energy generation mix throughout Africa due to an abundance of solar radiation, wind, the ever-increasing cost of grid electricity and the ongoing reduction in solar PV plant costs, energy storage and the production of hydrogen from biomass.
Renewable energy sources such as Biomass, Geothermal, Wind and Solar are now one of the lowest cost producers of energy, with a fixed long term energy generation cost, and a proven bankable track record. In addition, many private commercial and residential customers are now purchasing solar PV systems to save on electricity costs and reduce their dependency on grid electricity.
